How Big is Your Baby?
The baby's growth process is in progress and in week 26 of your pregnancy, it measures 13.6- to 14.8-inch and weighs 1.5- to 2.5-pound. It is developing its senses, features and talents!

The baby's eye are now in the process of forming and soon it will open them. The eyelashes have also grown by now. It's getting the immune system ready for the new life outside by absorbing your antibodies. It's even breathing now, however, it breathes in the amniotic fluid, not air.

The uterus rises to about 2 ½ inches above the belly button by the 26th week. You gain around 20 pounds by now. The vaginal discharge may increase in quantity. It is important that you stay clean and hygienic. Occasional headaches and dull backaches will become common now. The backaches are a result of the growing uterus that puts pressure on the muscles.
Some women start forgetting things. This effect is temporary and the brain will start working normally after the delivery. Dry eyes are another common pregnancy symptom. The pregnancy hormones can cause discomfort in the eyes which is temporary. One can use eye drops to ease out the trouble.
Diet
It is important that the body gets all the macro and micro nutrients in sufficient quantity. The food must consist of variety and should be nutritious. Fishes are beneficial as they are rich in protein but must be eaten with precaution, because many fishes contain high level of mercury that is harmful for the baby.
