This is a very sensitive case when the baby is premature and you will be worried about breast feeding. You can feed him/her but with extra care. Baby can be fed after 32-33 week if your baby is stable and well. But before this you can express breast milk and can feed the baby with gavage tube. You may start expressing milk the day your baby is born but consult a doctor because initially expressing with the help of hand needs nursing expert then you can use breast pump. You may feel little uncomfortable but as the milk starts coming you can increase the speed and suction.

During initial one to two day you should pump for about five minutes but for every three hours and only once during night. But once the milk starts coming try to express it 6-8 times in a day as long as your breast empties.  But if your baby has to be in hospital for long time then you must not go longer than eight hours without breast milk expressing while your stay in hospital. And if your baby will be soon home then you can start expressing even during night. Gestation age and relative health decides for feed.
