Baby quirks are common habits in babies which they seem to adapt while growing up. Some example of baby quirks are toe sucking, drooling, etc and these kinds of habits are nothing to worry about. Sometimes baby quirks are also a means of your baby communicating with you or sending you a message. So next time your baby does something weird or unnatural try and study the signs and be the judge yourself.
Here is a list of common baby quirks:
-
Finger wrapping: Finger wrapping is a baby’s way of showing you that he or she is fond of you and loves you. This habit is more common in babies while they are growing and are familiar with you.
-
Sweet Smells: If your baby smells really sweet this is because of excretion from the Apocrine glands which is responsible for all kinds of body odor. Although they are not developed till puberty but in some cases babies smell good because of this gland.
-
Toe Sucking: Babies love to suck because their mouth nerves are much more sensitive than nerves in other parts of their body. Babies tend to enjoy the sucking activity and as toes are small and flexible it is their favorite body part to suck.
