Food, air, water and shelter were the primary needs of man until the dawn of mobile phones. Over the years, cell phones have taken a dominant place in our lives and most of us can't think of living a single day with our Smartphone away from our side.
We are so addicted to the fascinating world of phones that we fail to realize how we are getting prone to the bad effects of it. In other words, we can even say that many of us might be suffering from a syndrome “Cellolepsy” which is slowly taking control of our mind and body. Here let us explore some of the bad habits which clearly show you are heading towards Cellolepsy:
1. Too much of multi-tasking: If you are trying to check on your emails, comment on a facebook post, or replying to a tweet during a meeting or while sitting with a group of friends; you surely are trying too hard to multi-task. This is not a good sign and in the long run it can cut you off from people around. Try to avoid unnecessary distractions caused by the cell phones.
2. Being an open book: It's good to be an open book but not at the cost of making your confidential public to all. While using their smartphones, many people just don't realize of their surroundings and speak in a tone that lets everyone overhear or be a part of their conversation.
3. Creating chaos: The Cellolepsic people tend to create a chaos when attending to a phone call in public. Based on the nature of the call, at times there occur some emotional outbursts which puts the onlookers in a state of discomfort. Remember, such things only bring unease upon you.
4. Love for the ringer: Irrespective of the surrounding you might be in, your phone enjoys the ringer mode freely. Be it a religious gathering, a social meet or some important business appointment of yours, you just don't bother to give the ringer a rest and choose for the vibrate or silent mode. Alas! You surely are at a risk of being a “Peace Destroyer”.
5. Cell Yeller: At many instances, you just forget to low down your volume while speaking over your phone. Speaking louder more than usual only attracts the eavesdropper.
6. Speaking and driving: If you call drink and drive a crime, then driving while speaking over the smartphone is no less. By doing this you not only risk your own safety but that of others too.
7. Failing to prioritize: Most of the cell phone users find it difficult to prioritize things. This apparently never allows them to spend quality time with friends and family. Unplugging occasionally will only bring in peace to your life.
Check on these signs and ensure you don't fall a prey to Cellolepsy. Be in control of your phone; don't make it the other way round!!
