The cruelest thing that can happen to a kid is if he is born with hearing impairment. It can be a difficult place for a kid to be in. Therefore it is better if you go along with your kid and learn sign language so that you have a mean of communicating with him too. You have to make your kid believe that you are same as him. Nowadays people with hearing problems are not treated like handicaps and can very well have a normal life in the society. You as a parent can make that happen.
