Every mom has been there. Your baby is crying and you have tried everything to soothe her. You have fed her, cleaned her, rocked her back and forth several times, sang to her, and played with her, but sometimes it just doesn’t work.
As frustrating as it can get for new moms, it is important to understand why babies do it. This will only make your situation better.
Why babies cry
Let’s try and see the world from their point of view. Babies are out of their embryonic environment and the comfort, care and protection that they felt all this while has been taken away from them.
The only way to communicate their discomfort is through crying. So they cry when they want to tell you, “Mom, I am hungry!” or “This diaper is itchy” or “Don’t let anyone touch my nose”. Their cry means a very simple
thing, “I need you mom!”
But sometimes all their needs are met (rested, fed, has a clean diaper) and he is still crying? What do you do then? Don’t worry. This technique called “The HOLD” will calm a crying baby in seconds!! It is truly a blessing for new moms!
