Natural methods
Natural methods are more preferred if practiced with care. Intercourse should be avoided during the fertile phase. The fertile phase can be identified by planning to prevent unwanted pregnancy, using several methods like monitoring naturally occurring signs, to know fertile and infertile phase of menstrual cycle of a women. Some common methods are the calendar-based methods, the symptoms-based methods, and the breastfeeding or lactational amenorrhea method.
The calendar methods usually identify the likelihood of fertility depending upon the past menstrual cycle, whereas the symptoms based method are biological signs of fertility (that of a raw egg white cervical secretion, rise in basal body temperature during fertile period) while lactational method is also a preventing method but it’s not so promised method. As other methods like intrauterine device usage, barrier methods, minipills and injectables can also be used during lactation for more safety. Withdrawal during intercourse where the male partner
