The concept of using ultrasound as a male contraceptive has been discussed in theory for quite some time now. The idea was a good one and was first discovered about 60 years ago but it was never put into actual implementation because of misconceptions and doubts associated with it. With the availability of modern day technology use of ultrasound to act as a male contraceptive has become practically possible and it has become a commercial contraceptive method. It is effective too, and would work well if applied properly.

The basic working procedure of male contraception through ultrasound involves 3 Mega Hertz strong ultrasound frequencies around the male testes which in turn reduces the sperm production in males by depletion of germ cells. The most effective way of male contraception through ultrasound involves undergoing two sessions of 15 minutes duration at a difference of two days. The ultrasound frequency warms by testes and raises their temperature up to 37 degrees. A conductor called Saline is used to provide conduction between the skin of the testes and the transducer of the ultrasound equipment. This method reduces the over all sperm count and the sperm count reaches zero level index.
