As the child reaches the preschool age, there is a radical shift in the daily routine of the parents and the child. It is a difficult task to choose the right preschool, get the child admitted, and more importantly make the child comfortable in an entirely new atmosphere. You may encounter new problems each day as the child begins to attend preschool. Here are some of them.
It is completely normal to see the child become aggressive, screaming and crying in the initial days. It is because the child finds it difficult to cope up with new rules and atmosphere, and parents must be supportive. Instead of pointing out his mistakes, talk to the child lovingly and try to know his problems. Another common challenge by parents is that the child does not follow the routine set by the preschool. They prefer to do things at their own leisure, and so must be explained the benefits of following a routine. Also, tell them that they can share their problems with their teacher. It is important that you modify the daily dietary, sleep and toilet habits of the child well in advance, so that the child does not get affected or fall sick due to sudden change in schedule.
