Once the pregnancy bump is visible to everyone, the first and the most frequently asked question is what do you want to have, a baby girl or a baby boy? Everyone is inquisitive to know about the gender. Even the parents start imagining things like painting a room in pink if they have a girl or painting it blue if they have a baby boy. The elderly people start off with their guess work whether it would be a boy or a girl.

Though it is not possible to guess the baby’s gender accurately without the ultrasound but people in the country have their own ways of making guesses. Few ways of guessing the child’s gender are:

If its a baby boy then:

• The morning sickness problem comes in the later stage of the pregnancy.

• You crave for particularly salty or sour food.

Chances of having a boy child are more if you conceive in the first year of the marriage. Scientific results have shown that women who indulge more in tea and coffee have higher chances of having a baby boy.

If it’s a baby girl then:

• The morning sickness problem arrives in the early stage of the pregnancy.

• The size of both your breast change. The left one becomes larger than the right one.

• You want to eat sweet things and are always craving for it.

• You yearn for orange juice.

• You do not look as glowing as you used to before pregnancy.

• You have blossomed breasts.

• You suffer from mood swings at this time.

• When you sleep, your pillow faces the south direction.

• Women who are regular smokers have higher chances of having baby girl.

All the above symptoms are just for fun and work for few cases only but whatever gender it might be, a child is a beautiful gift of God.
