Suji halwa and besan halwa are the exclusively used Indian sweet dishes that are very good for us from health point of view. Besan halwa is advised to those who suffer from cold and cough as it relieves the person very quickly. Besides, these two dishes are very delicious and are liked by people of all the ages.
The easy recipes of these two dishes are given as under:
Besan Halwa
Ingredients

1 cup of gram flour or besan

1 cup milk
-
¾ cup of sugar

1 tsp cardamom powder
-
½ cup pure ghee
-
10-15 chopped dry fruits
Method
1. In a thick vessel having copper bottom, heat the ghee.
2. Add besan slowly and slowly to the ghee. Now stir it on a low flame till it changes to golden colour.
3. Add sugar, milk and cardamom powder to the besan.
4. Stir this mixture until it has grown thick.
5. Garnish it with dry fruits and serve hot.
Suji halwa
Ingredients

2 tsp of ghee

1 cup of rava or semolina

1 cup of milk
-
1 cups of water
-
¾ cup of sugar
-
1 tbsp elaichi (cardamom) powder
-
6-7 raisins
-
10-12 finely chopped cashew nuts
Method
1. In a pan heat the ghee and in it add rava and then keep roasting it till it grows brown.
2. Boil sugar, milk, water, raisins and cardamom powder together after they are mixed properly.
3. Add rava mixture to sugar syrup and stir properly on a medium flame till both get mixed well.
4. Add the nuts and heat the halwa for another 2 minutes covered with a lid.
5. Serve the dish hot.
