To achieve a great success in the academics, a child has to first become a good reader. Parents are the closest to the children & can focus & help their child to improve their reading habits. It can be as easy as enjoying reading a word as if it is a game. Here is a list of ways to help your children become efficient readers.

To Do’s:

• Provide them a wide variety of reading materials as: story books, comics, riddles, jokes etc.
• Help them identify objects by their names as: floor, fork, knife, plate etc..
• Help them to predict the book type by their names or titles etc..
• Make reading an interesting. Let them guess the further parts & often ask questions to the story being read.
• Emphasize your child to read loud & clear.
• Help them learn to take pauses while reading. Also teach them about rhythm & actions during readings.
• Manage some role plays for them to make them read the script & enact according to it.
• Provide them a picture & ask them what is it about & what is in it.
