Sperm donation may seem to be a really easy process and an unconventional source of income- becoming a sperm donor is not easy. Since sperm donation deals with the transfer of sperms or literally genes there are few very important biological as well as social factors that need consideration.
The basic criteria of becoming a sperm donor are- physical attributes like good height, proportionate weight and absolutely proper health, 18-35years are the desired age limits. A donor is expected to have a proper life style free from alcohol and drugs and education and family background are also important factors on which a donor’s application are checked.
You need to make an application to local sperm bank or clinic; who fix consultation dates, an individual applicant has to pass through several tests before being established fit to be a donor. After the first phase of examination the donor has to make his first 3 donations as samples to determine the quality of sperm, sperm count etc. if the samples pass the screening test and the donor’s medical tests are positive he is made to sign the contract. Each donor needs to undergo medical checkups every three months.
