Not's father is quite idealistic, abstract and heady, whereas the Not relies basically on the instinct, intuitions and inner gut feelings. Not's father is often baffled by Not's passions, insane loves and hates, and intensely emotional responses. This is because Not's father rational and cerebral. The two never succeed in building a long-term relation because of their differences in thinking and behavior.
