Sachin: A Billion Dreams is out and with the movie, which is a docu-drama comes nostalgia of the times when Sachin Tendulkar used to rule our television screens. The movie had very few actors, most of them from the time that showed Sachin’s childhood. Out of these the one who stood out was Mikhail Gandhi, the boy who played young Sachin Tendulkar.
This 8-year old boy who won hearts with his portrayal of young Sachin is breaking the internet today. He started acting by doing commercials in Sri Lanka and Pakistan. He has also done a Telugu film Supreme in 2016 and was one of the 300 boys who auditioned for the role of young Sachin Tendulkar. But while he was giving his audition, his parents had no idea that he would be playing Sachin in the movie.
Mikhail’s mother says, “We got a call from a casting agent who didn't inform us anything about the film he was supposed to audition for. When we reached there, I found out he'd bagged the role in this film. Almost 300 kids had auditioned for the role,"
On being asked how it felt to play Sachin Tendulkar and seeing himself on-screen, Mikhail said, “When I saw myself on the big screen, it was the happiest day of my life so far.” He looked quite adorable and dashing at the premier of this movie.
Some of the advertisements that Mikhail was seen in are for the products Aquaguard, Sony Handycam, OMO & Comfort and many more. Well, we do hope this little boy makes it big and we see more of him.
